RATINGS

95Wine Enthusiast

Big and bold with great strawberry and red cherry flavors, this wine has all the elements of dense fruit, intense acidity and rich tannins.

93-95The Wine Advocate

...very complex bouquet that to be honest... Those 15% whole cluster berries add another level of complexity here, offering a sense of clarity and space on the nose, until eventually mulberry and wild strawberry aromas muster more vigor.

93Stephen Tanzer

Sexy nose combines raspberry, truffle, crushed stone and smoky minerality. Supple, silky and fine-grained, offering a showy combination of fresh raspberry, mineral and earth qualities. This very dense Petits Monts finishes with suave, fully buffered tannins and terrific subtle length.

18Jancis Robinson

Very well-situated parcel overlooking all the grands crus. Just three barrels produced. Dark cherry red. Real substance, slightly sour but massive substance. Nothing sweet about this. Solid and chewy. One to watch. Very long and powerful.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanee, Les Petits Monts

Les Petits Monts is a 9-acre Premier Cru vineyard in the Vosne-Romanee appellation of Burgundy’s Cote de Nuits. This small vineyard is divided up into about 20 individually-owned parcels.

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
